This new 1-day course has been designed to meet the needs of managers and supervisors, from any type of organisation, who are required to manage employees and their work activities in compliance with both the company’s Safety Policy and Health and Safety legislation.
The course concentrates on getting candidates up-to-speed on the practical actions they need to take, and gain the knowledge and tools to tackle the health and safety issues they’re responsible for. Importantly, Managing Safely makes a powerful case for health and safety being an integral part of day-to-day management and business. Successful candidates will be awarded the IOSH Managing Safely certificate.
Once complete, the course provides an excellent foundation for further study for those looking to pursue a career in health and safety and gain qualifications accredited by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).
The IOSH Managing Safely course covers, in detail, the core responsibilities of anyone tasked with managing workplace health and safety.
These responsibilities are covered in eight units of study:
- Unit 1: Introducing Managing Safely
- Unit 2: Assessing Risks
- Unit 3: Controlling Risks
- Unit 4: Understanding Responsibilities
- Unit 5:Understanding Hazards
- Unit 6: Investigating Incidents
- Unit 7: Measuring Performance
IOSH require that anyone attending this course has to be within 3 years of completing the 3 day Managing Safely course, copies of certificates will be requested prior to attending the course.
